Here’s what to expect:
Orientation (Virtual)
1-hour Kickoff:
Review program requirements
Ensure your eligibility to participate
Register to take Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Loan Originators (SAFE MLO) test
WEEKS 1-2: Building the Foundation (Virtual – instructor-led)
Test preparation, which counts toward the 20 credit hours required by NMLS:
NMLS-approved webinars
Small group discussions
Tutoring
WEEKS 3-4: Study and Take the Test (Virtual – self-paced)
Review materials from Weeks 1 & 2
Take practice tests
Take the proctor-supervised SAFE MLO test in-person during scheduled time
Obtain your test results and share verification with OnCourse Learning
WEEK 5: On-Site Skills Development (In-Person)
Immersive 3-day, in-person Success Track class at United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) headquarters in Pontiac, Michigan, with the award-winning UWM training team
Role-playing, mock phone calls and networking with loan originators from across the country
What does the BrokerX program cost?
The cost for BrokerX training is $250, which is an exclusive rate, payment of which is due in full to our partners at OnCourse Learning within 24 hours of submitting an enrollment form.
As part of BrokerX, On-Site Skills Development (Success Track training at UWM) is included at no cost to you. Once proof of a participant passing their SAFE MLO test is received, travel arrangements will be confirmed by UWM.
Each participant is responsible for costs and fees associated with the SAFE MLO test registration, the MU4 application, background/credit checks and any other required costs. (total costs may vary depending on state requirements starting at $300). OnCourse Learning will provide additional details during Orientation.
